We have a crazy weekend schedule with lots of travel for weddings and portrait sessions around the state -- Fargo, Jamestown and Bismarck, here we come!
I'll try to update the blog from the road :) 'Til then, here's a photo bomb, thank to Kory.

April + Kris: North Shore wedding
When April contacted me about her wedding near Duluth, Minnesota, my ears perked up. I just adore the North Shore -- and so does Kory -- and the idea of photographing a wedding there gets me all excited :) April and Kris had the quintessential North Shore wedding :: perfect blue skies, fun nature-inspired details, a lovely log cabin ceremony site, and a view of Lake Superior from their reception site. What could be better?
April and Kris officially became man and wife in a woodsy lodge on the grounds of Gooseberry Falls State Park. It was a heartfelt ceremony filled with tears and laughter. After the ceremony, we traveled up to Split Rock State Park for a some photo-fun. The Grand Superior Lodge was all done up for the reception with the most fitting centerpieces :: sliced wood logs, birch-bark pots, and lush wheatgrass.
We had a great time with you, Kris and April! Thank you for inviting us to capture your big day :)

Evan and Danielle: Engaged!
Meet Danielle and Evan :) They are tying the knot this weekend! We weren't available for their wedding, but we were excited to photograph a few engagement photos. We had some gorgeous, gorgeous light to work with during their session. We just took a little walk around downtown Grand Forks for a few photos, then we explored the Greenway. We also met their little dog Noodles!
Best of luck this weekend, D+E!

Monica and Chris: Minneapolis wedding
I've been so excited to show you this wedding! I first met Chris and Monica on a snowy Minnesota day last January. They are such a genuine and honest couple; I felt like I had known them for years after our meeting. They planned a festive ceremony and reception at the newly constructed pavilion at Silverwood Park in Minneapolis. Now, for those of you looking for a gorgeous, natural location in the Minneapolis area, this is your kind of place! The grounds have a wonderful rustic beauty, complete with a lake, small bridge and island.
Chris and Monica's ceremony took place outside on a patio overlooking the lake. The day had a slight chill, so a fire was lit in the big stone fireplace. After the ceremony the guests moved inside to eat, drink, and dance!
I'm so, so glad we had the chance to work with Chris, Monica, and their families.
PS -- Monica's sister Stephanie Dunn is a very talented photographer in the Minneapolis area -- check out her work HERE!
This is the reason I love what I do ::

Happy Fourth of July!
I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Fourth of July weekend! With my boyfriend, best friend and favorite friend out of town on the Fourth of July, I spent Sunday work-laxing (that's my word for casually working). In the evening I wandered down to the Grand Forks Greenway for the fireworks show.
First, there was a pretty sunset ::

Then I sat right here for exactly 42 minutes in a painful crouched position whilst being attached by mosquitoes whilst waiting for the show to start ::
