Claire is 5!

Claire, one of the funniest, cutest, and sweetest little girls I know, turned 5 this year. I can't believe how grown-up she is!

Each year I take photos of her around here birthday, and this year we celebrated with pink balloons and a pillow pet.

For the last few days our eyes have been glued to the coverage of the flood in my hometown of Minot, ND. It is so sad to see the homes of my family and friends in the path of the Souris River. Our hearts go out to everyone in Minot.

Austin and Makenzie: Rugby, ND wedding

Rain, rain go away
Come again another day

Sigh. It has been a rainy summer so far, which kinda bums me out. I love sunshine!

But, rain isn't always a bad thing :) Here's a fantastic wedding that had a few sprinkles throughout the day. Mackenzie and Austin's wedding was a classic Rugby, ND wedding. There was, of course, wine drinking in the bathroom (with Kory). There was crazy bar-hopping. And there was a crazy party to end the night. We sincerely love Rugby weddings and were so happy to be a part of Austin and Mackenzie's day!

Mackenzie and Austin are one of those super creative couples ... just check out the cool chalk signs Austin made for the reception entrance and over the cake table! Or the clever "he said, she said" book they made and displayed near their sign-in book. I love when couple's personalize all the little details of their day. This day was undeniably Austin and Mackenzie's :)

Nathonia and Kasey: Draxton Farm wedding

Today, lovely blog enthusiasts, I have a charming barn wedding to show you. Kasey and Nathonia tied the knot at Draxton Farm, a family-owned farm that rents out their barn for weddings and other gatherings. It is a perfect location for a wedding.

Nathonia loves animals and wanted to incorporate her passion for her pets into her wedding day. She coined her wedding the "Doves and Dogs" wedding and that is how we refer to it still to this day! Nathonia's adorable dogs served as ring bearers and she purchased a few white doves to release at the end of their ceremony. Kasey and Nathonia's wedding was a picturesque day for an outdoor wedding ... right down to a gorgeous sunset over the big red barn :)

Lane: Six months old

In a small departure from wedding photos, we are starting this week off with photos of cute, pudgy, blue-eyed baby Lane. We had all sorts of fun with him during his six-month photo shoot a few weeks back. This kid's a master at expressions ... see below for examples :)
