We are headed out of town today for a big weekend of weddings, meetings and portrait sessions in Bismarck, Fargo and Minneapolis! We'll be back next Tuesday :) 'Til then, here's a little sneak peek of baby Aveya ::

Elisa and KC: Grand Forks wedding
Way back in June when I was on vacation, Kory blogged his photos from Elisa and KC's Grand Forks wedding. Now it's my turn to show you my perspective of their big day.
Elisa and KC are two incredibly genuine, down-to-earth, and intelligent people. When we met with them a few weeks before their wedding, Elisa handed me a small receipt with a list of photos on the back. This was her "must-have" list of images she wanted captured on her wedding day. It said, "typewriter, grass, books." So we tried to include a good amount of grass, books, and even typewriters in our photos. Those items, mixed with their emotional ceremony, fun reception, and the friendly personalities of their family and friends, came together to make one lovely wedding day indeed.
Here are my favorites ::

Lexie and Erik: Engaged!
On a windy, windy day in Grand Forks we met up with Lexie and Erik for an engagement session. Oh, these two :) We smiled and laughed the entire time with these future doctors. Lexie and Erik love, love, love pizza (almost as much as me!) so we stopped by to pick up some pizza as a prop.

Day off!
Whew, what a crazy weekend it was! I attended my high school reunion in Minot, photographed an amazing wedding in Valley City/Fargo, and had my first-ever art show in Grand Forks!

Art Show!
Come one come all to the Empire Arts Center tomorrow (Saturday) to check out the first Shawna Noel Photography art show! The show is part of the Art and Wine walk which starts at 1 PM. We have some of our favorite art photos on display and we are selling art cards!
My mom Karen and boyfriend Matt will be manning the booth so please stop by and say hello. They are excited to make new friends :)
Also on display with our show is On Second Thought, a magazine that features Shawna Noel photos.
