Fun times and a haircut

Last Saturday I went out with the gal pals to see a Raining Jane concert at UND. After the concert we met up with the band (I know, we're total groupies) for some drinks and lavosh.

And on a totally unrelated note, here is Meg, Steve and me after our "meeting" last Wednesday. Kory and I met up with Meg and Steve to talk about their upcoming MEXICO wedding (hooray!), and it turned in to a seven hour chat, dinner, and drink session. :) This couple is SO much fun. Can't wait for Mexico!

Emily J

Emily, from Emily J Hair + Makeup, just sent me a link to her stunning and sweet new website. I worked with Emily during Erin and Lou's wedding last July, and she did a amazing job on Erin's hair and makeup. Emily's work is great plus she travels to you on your wedding day instead of you having to go to a salon, which makes the getting ready preparations so much more relaxed! Emily is based out of the Minneapolis area and she travels!

New notecards

I just got a fab.u.lous package in the mail! For the last couple months I've been working with Julie at Studio Olivine to create some lovely letterpress notecards. I'm a sucker for some pretty letterpress, so when I saw Studio Olivine would create custom note cards I got very excited. Julie worked on an artsy version of my logo for the front of the card, and for a matching envelope. They look so very good.

I'm also a sucker for pretty packaging, and Studio Olivine gets an A+ in that department!

Stunned!

Today I got some fun and exciting news! I placed two photos in the [AG]WPJA's quarterly contest :) The WPJA is a wedding photojournalist association I belong to. They have a sister-site, the Artistic Guild of the WPJA, for those more artsy-types of photographs.

Brrr!

The actual temperature this morning ... I'm scared to find out what the wind chill is.

Here's a fun science project we tried today at the job (instead of doing actual work!) You put hot water in a cup and throw it high up in the air and BOOM! it turns to ice. Well, more like snow, but you know what I mean. Oh, and the temperature must be absolutely freakin' cold for it to work. Sorry California blog readers. :)
