Wow. It is 2010.

I can't believe it's already 2010! Right now at the office we're doing all sorts of sexy business stuff, like catching up on Quickbooks, organizing receipts, and cleaning. Isn't business fun? We have a full schedule for January -- four weddings and lots of portrait sessions, so we'll have a lot to blog about.

We are also working on a workshop idea. We'll be announcing details about it in the next couple weeks!

Here's a quick photo from a recent impromptu session we had with Megan, Jason and their new little guy Justin ::

All booked up!

Our calendar is completely filled with family sessions, engagement sessions and weddings for the rest of 2009. We'll start taking new portrait clients in January of 2010. Also, our wedding calendar is just about full for 2010. We have a few dates left in November and December of 2010, but the spring, summer and fall dates are all booked.

If you are looking for a photographer for family photos or weddings, just email us at shawnanoel at gmail dot com. We are always happy to recommend area photographers with styles that are similar to ours.

The Big Sale

It's November and I can't believe it. The weather has been so hot then cold then snowy then rainy then blah, I can't keep up with what season it's supposed to be. So now I think it's winter. And you know what that means. The Holiday season is upon us!

We are kicking off this holiday season with a big sale: The Holiday Sale. Fifteen percent (15%) off most everything we have. Prints. Frames. Brag Books. Style Books. Art Cards. Canvases. Even Holiday Cards are on sale!

Now is the perfect time to pick up a canvas print from your session, order holiday cards, or buy a gift for the grandparents!

We've reactivated every client gallery from 2009. To access the sale, go to the Shawna Noel Photography gallery page HERE, find your session and fill in your passcode. Forgot your code? No problem. Just email Kory at korywallen@gmail.com and he'll get your code ASAP.

The Holiday Sale is running now through midnight on Dec. 1, 2009. Our deadline for orders is Dec. 6 but holiday card orders must be received by Dec. 1.

Our office will be closed Dec. 16 through Jan. 4. During that time we'll be responding to emails and phone calls as best as we can :)

Happy holidays and happy shopping!

Pleased to introduce Fresh Wed

Yay! I am SO excited to show you this new project we've been kicking around since last March. I've hinted at it a bit and we are now ready to announce it!

Along with a few local vendors, we are creating a group called Fresh Wed that will provide fresh ideas for weddings through a blog.

I know, I know. You might be thinking, "another wedding blog?" Yes, there are plenty of resources out there if you are a bride or groom :: theknot.com and countless fabulous wedding blogs, plus national magazines like Martha Stewart Weddings, Grace Ormonde, and Brides. But there isn't a good local resource for brides and grooms in the Red River Valley.

That's what will make us a little different. Fresh Wed will be a group of modern wedding vendors in the Red River Valley that share a passion for their craft. At freshwed.com, group members will offer advice and tips for wedding planning, show real weddings + engagement stories from the area, and even provide a behind-the-scenes look into the wedding industry.

Edited to add :: Become a fan of Fresh Wed on Facebook HERE

The blog will go live on Nov. 16 :)
