French fry fun
Last week I spent some time with the Schill family at the annual French fry feed in Grand Forks. I was playing with a new lens and love this image of Megan on the swing ::

UND football fun
Last Thursday I had the chance to attend UND's first D1 football game and whew, was it fun :) I've been to lots of UND football games in the past but this game just had an extra bit of sparkle to it. There was a record-size crowd and the fans were really into the game, which makes a great environment to photograph.
After shooting sporting events like football, hockey, basketball, tennis, etc, for the UND student newspaper and for the UND Athletics Department, I can confidently say that I enjoy photographing the fans and general details of sports more than the action of it. I have the utmost respect for sports shooters because getting those amazing action shots that you see in Sports Illustrated and EPSN are so, so hard.
Here are some of my favorites from tailgating and the game. There will be a full gallery from the game of Kory's photos. I'll post the link to it when it goes up :)
Tailgating is fun ::

Bad blogger!
Hello friends :) I have been a bad blogger these last couple weeks. We've been very busy running from wedding to wedding to senior session to wedding and all that running has not left us much time to update this here blog.
I've got lots and lots and lots to blog about, so expect a whole lot of blog entries in the next couple days.
Last night we met up with the talented Britta from Milestones Photography in West Fargo to take some fun photos of Kory and me. (Kory and I? How's that grammar rule go again?). When Britta gets done working her magic on the photos, we'll post them here.
In the meantime, here's a lovely photo of me from Katie and Matt's wedding in June. If you've ever wondered what goes on behind those ring shots, here it is ::

Animals and camping and cousins ... oh my!
We are finally back from our wild west vacation in Medora, N.D., and I am happy to report that we had a FABULOUS time! I even have photos to prove it :)

OMG, vacay!
I'm heading out of the office today through Thursday for a fun trip to the Badlands for some hiking and camping. Then, on Friday we're heading to Minneapolis to hang out with my mom and go to the Uptown Art Fest! Yay!
