Melissa and Jim

What a weekend! On Friday we traveled to Bismarck for Melissa and Jim's outdoor wedding. It was a fabulous day, if a wee bit windy, for a wedding :)

The wedding had a vintage theme :: Melissa wore a beautiful lace applique dress and -- much to my happiness -- a birdcage veil. The couple's getaway car was a 1949 Chrysler that was restored by Jim's dad. Melissa even had a sweet parasol with the letter "A" painted on. All very sweet details that were so much fun to photograph!

Melissa and Jim, thanks for making us a part of your day!
Getting that dress nice and tight :)
LOVE that veil!

I tried a new technique on Saturday ... more on this in tomorrow's blog post!

PS -- this is NOT a Photoshop action or border. All in camera :)

Melissa and Thomas

A couple weeks ago we met up with Melissa and Thomas for an e-session in Grand Forks. They were such troopers! We went on a five-mile hike into the Grand Forks wilderness, got all mixed in with some burs, then with some tree branches, and our fine couple didn't complain once. I believe they said they were tough North Dakotans :)

I don't know ... they look pretty sweet to me :)

Breanna, Luke and Jayden, part two

Here's part two of the Breanna, Luke and Jayden session where we focused on cute, happy little Jayden. He's such a happy little boy!

First, he was in hair and wardrobe ...

And then the fun began! (There is nothing better than tickle photos!)

This photo makes me laugh :) Jayden sandwich!

New website on its way!

If you've visited my website lately, you may have noticed it's a little on the sparse side. Not many new photos, in fact, not many photos at all in the galleries. Well, that's because we are gearing up for a super fabulous new site! It incorporates my branding better and is easier to use (no more complete takeover of your screen! Yay!). We are in the final phase of getting all the minor details in order before it goes live. When it's ready, you'll be the first to know!

Lisa and Dereck

Last weekend we were down in Fargo for Lisa and Dereck's wedding. Lisa and I have been friends since high school (yay, Minot High!) and I was so honored to be a part of her big day. Lisa's an amazing gal :: she's run the Boston Marathon, traveled in South Africa, graduated with top honors from the pharmacy program at NSDU, and has always sent me a birthday card. She's thoughful, kind, and one of the funniest people I know.

Lisa and Dereck met at a classy establishment in Fargo, the Windbreak bar. Dereck's a great guy with a good sense of humor ... and, whew, can he dance!

This wedding was extra-fun for me because I got to see all my high school gal-pals that I haven't seen in a very long time :) We had fun chatting about the good ol' days of stealing signs, jumping in the river, "Shawna stories," and listening to Mariah Carey.
