Baby Brooke

What a baby boom! We've meet so many adorable babies in the last couple months and I'm just loving it! Baby sessions are so much fun (even if they involve a lot of drool and poop and breast milk).

Little Miss Brooke is our latest sweet baby. Her parents, DeAnn and Justin, were so great at getting her to smile and laugh for us. But really, with a face like this, who need to smile? She's already cute enough :)

Gotta love the tutu :)

Yay for UND hockey!

Last weekend the UND hockey team received the MacNaughton Cup for winning the WCHA (their conference). Kory and I were slipping and sliding around the ice to get some photos of the team with the cup. At least I was slipping and sliding ... Kory's got some fancy shoe things that keep him from falling on the ice in front of thousands of people.

Baby Jasper

Meet the littlest baby, Baby Jasper! This cute little bundle was a whooping 5 pounds when we photographed him ... and he was almost two weeks old! His mom told us that he loved to sleep but he was wide awake most of the session :) Here's a few of my favorite images from the day ::

Woohoo!

Exciting news! I just got word that we placed third in the getting ready category of the [AG]WPJA's quarterly contest. Very exciting! The WPJA, short for the Wedding Photojournalist Association, is a photography community we belong to. They have a sister-site, the Artistic Guild of the WPJA, for photos with an artsy-flare :)

You can check out both sites here: WPJA or [AG]WPJA

There's a blizzard blowing through town today, so we are working from home. Hopefully we'll be back in the office tomorrow!

Kelly and Troy

I was so excited for Kelly + Troy's big day. That's mainly because Kelly and I go way back to our sorority girl days at Alpha Phi. Kelly was my big sister! So, it was fun to spend the day with her. Plus she's funny, sweet and jaw-dropping GORGEOUS, so really, it just couldn't get any better!

Kelly and Troy were married at Cragun's Resort near Brainerd, Minnesota. We were there last summer for Kristin and John's wedding and it was cool to see Cragun's in a different season. It's a lovely place to tie the knot year-round!

It was a beautiful day for a wedding :: fresh snow, big blue skies outside, and temperatures in the mid 20s. We took advantage of the balmy day :) and headed outside with the wedding party for some fun photos. I love when the bridal party is up for anything!

Here's Kelly, getting ready to get into her dress ::
Oh, Aimee is going to kill me for posting this photo, but it just too funny! The "I'm a little teacup" song is stuck in my head :)

Purple planes everywhere :)
Kelly doing some on-the-job photographer training with us. See, she's a natural.

I'm way better with a Polaroid camera ::

Pretty details. Kelly's flowers were unbelievable!

Instead of toasts, the best man and maid of honor rapped (with the bridesmaids as backup singers!). Way cool!
