Elise

If pink is your favorite color, than prepare to be insanely jealous of little Elise's room. Elise is three years old, LOVES anything related to princesses, and is so adorable! We met up with her and her parents in their West Fargo home a couple weeks ago for some photo fun. Most of the photo takin' happened in Elise's amazingly pink room as she danced to the Disney Princess CD :) It was a great session!

I love this photo of Elise -- she looks so grown up!

Andrea and Jake

It's a rainy day here in Grand Forks. A rainy day in February in North Dakota is very rare ... and it causes a lot of problems! In the office today we've got a leaky roof because of all the rain and frozen gutters. Our parking lot is an ice skating rink and the roads are, well, completely un-drivable. So ... it's been a good day :)

I don't have any photos of the ice to show you, but -- even better! -- I've got wedding photos to show you :)

Our first wedding of 2009 was a festival celebration in and around St. Paul, MN, for Andrea and Jake! It was a gorgeous winter day that got a little snowy during the reception. We spent the morning with Andrea and the girls as they got ready, then moved to the church for the ceremony, then headed over to downtown St. Paul for some fun outdoor photos! The reception was held at The Great Hall and it was stunning :)

Here's Andrea in the morning, all smiles :)

Married!
Andrea's sister led the guests in a kissing game. Any time glasses were clinked, a couple's name was drawn and that couple had to answer a question about Andrea and Jake. If their answer was correct, then Andrea and Jake would kiss. If they got it wrong, then the couple would have to kiss. It was a cute idea!

Andrea and Jake were willing to go outside, in the dark and in the snow, for some portraits during their reception. This is my favorite shot of the day!

Blog changes

We've made some minor changes to the blog recently (could you tell?) ::

You may have noticed that we were getting all sorts of spam in the comments section lately (Viagra! Viagra! Yippee!) so we've made a slight change to that area in hopes of preventing spammers.

We've added an availability calendar to the navigation bar for our wedding schedule. We are booked for most of 2009 ... we have a few openings in November and December :)

And we are working on a new header for the top of the page. Well, I say "we" and really I mean Brock from Infinet Design, the mastermind behind our blog! Brock is amazingly talented and is the nicest guy. I throw crazy ideas his way -- Brock, what if we make the whole page neon yellow? -- and he turns it into something gorgeous. Gotta love that!

And here's a totally unrelated photo, just 'cause. Isn't she a cutie?

Amy and Jeff

Amy and Jeff tied the knot down in Mexico in November. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to Mexico with them (tear!), but we were on board for their home reception in Fargo with all of their family and friends. It was fabulous! Before the party began, we met up with Amy and Jeff for a quick portrait session. It was such a nice, calm session and Amy and Jeff looked tres chic in their breezy, island-y wedding outfits :)

We'll post some photos from the party tomorrow!

Aren't they a cute couple?
How gorgeous is Amy? Wowza!
I was loving the lines on the windows :)
And Amy was brave enough to go outside in her dress (I think it was about -10!)

Michael

I met up with baby Michael today for an official portrait session :) I love, love, love the amazing wraps that Janna knitted up (knitted up? What's past-tense for knit?) for this photo session. Aren't they cool?
We also tried to do some naked baby photos, but the poor little guy got so cold!
